Directing With All The Lights On: Tools and Tricks for the Circle, in Service of Storytelling and The Audience
11:30 a.m. PST - 1:15 p.m. PST (San Francisco) / 1:30 p.m. CST - 3:15 p.m. CST (Minneapolis) / 2:30 p.m. EST - 4:15 p.m. EST (New York)

With Michelle Hensley, TTT

Excellent directing is absolutely key to making this work. Michelle shared the essentials of this kind of directing in the round to make the story crystal clear, which she has gathered from over 30 years of watching the places where audiences get restless. Highly recommended not only for directors, but for producers who work with new directors.

The Necessity of Live Sound
1:30 p.m. PST - 3 p.m. PST (San Francisco) / 3:30 p.m. CST - 5 p.m. CST (Minneapolis) / 4:30 p.m. EST - 6 p.m. EST (New York)

Peter Vitale, TTT

Live sound is your lighting!  It creates focus and intensity. And audiences, starved for live music, love it! You really can't do this work without it. Highly recommended for all directors and  producers who work with directors.

MONDAY DECEMBER 4

FINAL GATHERING
1 p.m. PST - 2 p.m. PST (San Francisco) / 3 p.m. CST - 4 p.m. CST (Minneapolis) / 4 p.m. EST - 5 p.m. EST (New York)

How has this work changed you? Changed your theater?  Where do we want to go from here?
Some theaters ONLY do this kind of work (TTT, The Light Fantastic, True North). Other theaters have added it into their programming. We'd like to hear from everyone on how the work is changing the way you think about theater, and the way you do business. What would be most helpful to everyone in going forward?
