Giuvlipen—a feminist Roma theatre company—presents their performance of Urban Body livestreaming from Bucharest, Romania on the global, commons-based peer produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv Tuesday 10 March 2020 at 11 a.m. PDT (Los Angeles, UTC-7) / 2 p.m. EDT (New York, UTC-4) / 18:00 GMT (London, UTC+0) / 19:00 CET (Budapest, UTC+1) / 20:00 EET (Bucharest, UTC+2).
Presented at the National Museum of Romanian Literature
Urban Body fictionalizes the stories of four Roma women in relationship to their own bodies, through a personal lens, but in a social context: the body as means of production, the body as property, the body as cradle of maternity, the healthy body, the disabled body, the shameful body, the physical body as a mirror of social life and sole own possession.
A trip to the universe of the marginal, exploring the grey areas of social morality and opening up to debate the controversial subject of sexual and reproductive rights, in a musical performance which is both tender and committed, about the body, sexuality, survival and identity, in 21st century Romania.
Performers: Mihaela Draga, Zita Moldovan
Music: Ardeja Fraga
Script and directing: Catinca Drăgănescu
Movement: Paul Dunca
Graphics: Veioza Arte

Good day, I watched Watch Me Work with Suzan-Lori Parks and the collaboration and inspiration has been plentiful. I love the format and I hope to get involved. Talking other playwrights, struggling and successful is simply heaven.
