In this workshop and conversation hosted by the BLIS Collective, we explore what it truly means to braid narratives of repair across Black and Indigenous movements. Together, we reflect on how culture, story, and solidarity can move beyond symbolic gestures toward transformative change—the returning of land, redistribution of wealth, and the repair of our shared histories and futures. This session invites participants to imagine what becomes possible when we braid our stories, and build the power necessary for true solidarity across two historically oppressed communities.
Speakers: Trevor Smith, Co-founder/Executive Director of BLIS Collective, Savannah Romero, Co-founder/Deputy Director of BLIS Collective
